COVID-19 Communication to Parents/Guardians and Staff

In the event a Positive Case of COVID-19 is reported to the district:

  • All students or staff identified as a possible exposure will be contacted by the school nurse and notified by an email.

  • A One Call Now message will be made to notify families and staff of an update to the COVID-19  Dashboard  found here:

  • The Trumbull County Combined Health District will conduct further contact tracing to identify individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19 and will communicate guidance to those specific individuals.

Stay Safe!!!

Please follow these steps to continue to be aware of your child’s health:

  • Continue to check your child for COVID-19 symptoms daily: fever or chills, new uncontrolled cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, new onset of severe headache, especially with fever.

  •  If anyone in your household develops symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19, they should immediately isolate and call Trumbull County Health Department at (330) 675-2489. Also, contact your medical providers and notify the school.

  • If NO symptoms develop and you have not been instructed otherwise to quarantine for a different exposure, your child may continue to attend school.

  • Practice social distancing, leaving at least six feet between you and other people.

  • Wear a mask covering your mouth and nose.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.

  • Avoid close contact with those who are sick.

  • Stay at home when you are sick.

  • As a precaution, consider postponing plans for play dates, family visits, and extracurricular and social activities.

If you have any questions, contact our district’s nurse at 440-693-4125 ext. 125 or Trumbull County Health Department at 330-675-2489.
