Dear Bloomfield/Mesopotamia Community,
This message is to notify you that on May 8, 2025, the Bloomfield-Mespo Local School District, in compliance with Ohio Revised Code, will be conducting a full scale emergency safety drill using both, Bloomfield High School and Mesopotamia Elementary.
Drills, such as the one we will be conducting on May 8, 2025, are designed to help our students, staff and other entities practice procedures that would help keep individuals safer during an actual emergency. The drill on May 8th will be conducted with assistance from, the Ohio School Safety Center, the Trumbull County EMA, the Trumbull County Sheriff, Bloomfield township, Mesopotamia township, Bloomfield Fire Department, Mesopotamia Fire Department and the Ohio State Patrol.
The drill will start at approximately 12:00 p.m. at Mesopotamia Elementary and will conclude at approximately 3:00 p.m. at Bloomfield High School. Parents will receive a Parent Square notification stating the time they may begin picking up their students.
During the drill you may see the following at your location:
Firefighters, police officers and other emergency responders in and around the elementary school
Buses being escorted by emergency personnel from Mesopotamia Elementary to the high school.
Firefighters, police officers and other emergency responders assisting with student pick up in areas near the high school.
