Cross Country

Yesterday, the Bloomfield runners had a fantastic showing at their first meet of the season at Badger. Abigail started the show with a phenomenal first race of her career. She ran at a solid, consistent pace, running by two rivals in the home stretch and burning up the course in a time of 26 minutes, 55 seconds and taking 16th place out of about 45 runners. Ben took it from there, passing rivals throughout the race, running tenaciously through the opening stages, and passing a rival in the final 200 yards with a strong kick in a time of 28:10. Finally, Jackson closed up shop, starting out very fast at the start, running a blistering first mile of 6:20, and holding it together through mile 2 to run a PR time of 13:52 and earning an 18th place finish out of about 50 runners. All runners ran terrifically and will only get faster from here. Congratulations to all!
