Start with Hello Week was Oct. 13-17 at the elementary school. It is a national initiative teaching empathy and empowering students to promote social inclusion through three easy steps:
1. See Someone Alone: learn how to recognize the signs of loneliness and social isolation
2. Reach Out and Help: find out what you can do to help other feel included
3. Start with Hello: discover to to break the ice and strike up a conversation
Students were chosen in their classrooms to receive the Upstander Badge.
A school-wide pledge tree was made to promote and spread kindness.

Dental Sealants and Fluoride Varnishes were applied to 56 students! This program helps to prevent cavities and provide protection for our students' teeth.



Grade 3-5 took a walking field trip over to the Mesopotamia Fire Department. The K-9 unit was from Windsor/ the Ladder truck came from Middlefield/ the EMS team came from Farmington and the rest was from the Mespo station. Thank you to Chief Loza for reaching out to our supporting emergency responders and having all the different equipment for our students to see. We loved it! The K-9 was amazing.
