Honoring Veterans Day at Bloomfield High School!
Today our students had the privilege of hearing from local veteran Jim Rapone, a Marine Sergeant who served in the Vietnam War. He shared his experiences and brought artifacts from his service for students to see and explore.
Our choir and band performed beautifully, and students showed great respect throughout the ceremony. ❤️🤍💙
A special thank-you to Mr. Rapone for sharing his story and to everyone who helped make this event possible.

🍦 Attendance Matters! 🍦
Today, 66% of our Bloomfield students earned their way to an Ice Cream Social by missing one or fewer days of school over the past three weeks! 🎉
We’re proud of these 51 students for showing up, staying engaged, and setting themselves up for success in both school and life. Students enjoyed building their own sundaes with plenty of toppings and spending time with classmates and teachers.
The clock is ticking for the next round of the attendance challenge, ending November 25th — let’s see if we can beat today’s numbers! 💪

👻🎃 The ghosts and goblins had way too much fun last night and decided to keep the power off this morning! When we arrived to a dark and spooky school, only one brave soul was found hard at work in the office... Mrs. Sly! The power is off in this picture — flashlights provided the only light! 💡
She goes all out for Halloween — even the spirits couldn’t stop her! 💀🕯️

Start with Hello Week was Oct. 13-17 at the elementary school. It is a national initiative teaching empathy and empowering students to promote social inclusion through three easy steps:
1. See Someone Alone: learn how to recognize the signs of loneliness and social isolation
2. Reach Out and Help: find out what you can do to help other feel included
3. Start with Hello: discover to to break the ice and strike up a conversation
Students were chosen in their classrooms to receive the Upstander Badge.
A school-wide pledge tree was made to promote and spread kindness.

📈 Today, 5 of our students, along with Mr. Schnurrenberger, headed to YSU for the Junior Achievement Eastern Ohio Stock Market Challenge!
125 students from 4 counties competed, testing their skills in a fast-paced stock market simulation. Teams of 3–4 bought and sold stocks while navigating market twists—60 trading days simulated in just 1 minute each! Local business leaders served as floor traders, guiding students through the action.
🎉 Great job to our students and Mr. Schnurrenberger! The experience was a hit—our students are already talking about going back next year.
